A warm welcome to my website. I hope you will enjoy your visit and find much of interest here. I was brought up in Liverpool and still live on Merseyside. I started writing when I was forty and to date I have written thirty books. My sagas are mainly set in Liverpool but I have a series of five books that are linked to the historical city of Chester as well. My stories span the period between the Edwardian era to the rock’ n’ roll years. I also write historical novels for Harlequin Mills & Boon set in the turbulent times of the 15th and 16th centuries. I am amongst the top earners of PLR (Public Lending Rights) from the libraries and I am available for talks on writing & being a writer. My other interests include swimming, walking, old movies and my ancestry.

WHAT THE CRITICS SAY…

'‘June Francis writes a good saga, and she’s written a good many. Popular with readers, her sagas are easy, comfy books to read at bedtime, telling an engrossing story about ordinary people. For those who like cosy family sagas this is a must read, and the historical details are neatly slipped in to give colour and a taste of the time.’ Historical Novels Review

'Few people have the talent to bring [the 1950s] to life in quite the spectacular way that June Francis does...This a beautifully told story and for once you're not sitting on tenterhooks waiting for something terrible to happen to the principal protagonists. It's heart-warming, comforting and an essentially accurate depiction of life in that transitional period after the second world war.' Books monthly
